Purpose: To foster the love of reading.
Learning Target: I can read and understand grade level text.
Age group: 6th grade students (volunteer basis)
What is it?
The Book Bowl is like a quiz bowl competition. The questions for the book bowl competition are taken from three, pre-selected, novels that the participants will read over a three-month period (January to March).

- Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt (Realistic Fiction)
- Rick Riordan Presents Serwa Boateng's Guide to Vampire Hunting by Roseanne Brown ( Fantasy)
- Goldfish Boy by Lisa Thompson (Mystery)
- Students will be given the opportunity to volunteer to participate.
- There should be 6 – 8 people per reading team per advisory (Limit 4 teams).
- Each team will come up with a team name and create a poster.
