Purpose: To foster the love of reading. Learning Target: I can read and understand grade level text. Age group: 7th grade students (volunteer basis)
What is it? The Book Bowl is like a quiz bowl competition. The questions for the book bowl competition are taken from three, pre-selected novels that the participants will read.
Featured Titles: A Mango-Shaped Space by Wendy Mass Dragon Pearly by Yoon Ha Lee Ghost by Jason Reynolds
How does it work? Students will be given the opportunity to volunteer to participate. There will be 6 - 10 people per team. Students meet once a week during their advisory time (12:40-1:07) to discuss the books, create a team poster and prepare for the competition.
